As a culminating project, our Bangla language students use their newly acquired language skills to provide materials for AOB’s projects or to research the culture in new ways. One student (a teacher) is presently developing an expatriate-children’s Bangla-language curriculum. Another, who is a computer technician, is developing a computer program that will help Bangla students review vocabulary. Another student translated more than 50 Bangla hymns into English. Now both newcomers and old-timers can better understand church services and worship with Bengali Christians.
